How Carriers Use Border Haul: A Step-by-Step Walkthrough

Are you a transfer carrier operating near the U.S.–Mexico border? Want to spend less time looking for loads and more time moving them? Border Haul (BH) is your new best friend.

We connect reliable transfer carriers with shippers who need fast, safe, and simple trailer transfers across the border. No cold calls, no endless back-and-forth. Just steady, verified work—and you get paid fast.

Here’s how to get started with Border Haul in just a few clicks.

Step 1: Register as a Carrier

Go to www.borderhaul.com and click “Sign Up” as a transfer carrier. Fill in:

  • Company name

  • Operating zone (e.g., Laredo, El Paso, Nogales, Otay Mesa, etc.)

  • Dispatch contact info

  • MC number (if based in the U.S.) or Mexican SCAC/Registro number

  • Insurance and required documents (we’ll guide you if you’re unsure)

Our team will verify your profile within 1–2 business days. Once approved, you’ll be able to start accepting loads.

Step 2: Browse Available Loads

Log in to your Carrier Dashboard, where you’ll find:

  • A list of active trailer transfers

  • Details including pickup/dropoff locations, trailer type, commodity, and rate

  • Optional filters (by location, date, trailer type)

Click “Accept Load” to claim any shipment that fits your route and equipment.

Step 3: Pick Up & Deliver the Trailer

Each load comes with shipper instructions and contact information. Once you accept the job:

  • Confirm pickup time with the contact person

  • Move the trailer across the border

  • Drop off at the designated location

  • Notify Border Haul of successful delivery (via your dashboard or text/email)

Our bilingual support team is available to help you coordinate if needed.

Step 4: Get Paid Fast

Once delivery is confirmed and documents are submitted, we process payments within 3–5 business days—much faster than typical freight brokers.

You’ll receive:

  • Load confirmation

  • Delivery receipt

  • Full payment by direct deposit
